After four weeks of preparation, sixty young people from Holy Family school, and surrounding local State schools received the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time on 04/04/25.
Father Henry Adler SVD Parish priest of Holy Family church, with the assistance of Father Janusz Skotniczny, SVD, Father Stephen Gerdes SVD and Father Bill Burt VD, conferred the sacrament to the children who while waiting appeared excited albeit a little nervous. But as each child returned from receiving their sacrament, it was a joy to see the smiles on their faces.
The celebration was a joyful event with many parents and family members present to support the children, who were also assisted by Mrs Smith (Principal) and Ms Laidlaw, Mrs Hampton and staff of Holy Family school, along with Mrs Watson, Ms Cook and Mrs Walsh from the Sacramental Team.
