In our Parish | Holy Family Carol Night

December 14, 2022

With an atmosphere of love, joy and community, Holy Family Parish Ingleburn and Minto, came alive with the sound of music and singing on 9th December 2022, with our Parish carol night. A crowd of around 400 to 500 people attended what was a spectacular multicultural evening of entertainment.

After several months of planning and preparation under the musical direction and accompaniment of Mr Peter Novakovich, and guidance from Father Henry, nine groups of singers and musicians consisting of choirs including the Holy Trinity Choir, Holy Family Primary School Choir, (HF) Youth Choir, The (HF) Samoan Community Choir, The Neocatechumenal Way Community, Minto Polish Community Choir, The Spanish Speaking Community Choir, (HF) 9am Mass Choir, African Voice Group, came together in song and dance to present what was truly a wonderful evening, which showed the true meaning of Christmas, Peace, Love and Unity.
Father Henry assisted by Mr Andrew Fricot as MC, introduced each choir beginning with a prayerful reflection before each set of songs.

The evening began with all choirs combining to sing O Come All Ye Faithful, and combined again at the evening’s finale, with a beautiful rendition of Silent Night sung in several languages including Tagalog/Filipino Spanish, Polish, Samoan, and English.
A supper was enjoyed afterwards, and it was agreed by all who attended, that the event was a huge success, with many thanks to everyone who participated with singing, planning and preparation.
