There was a joyful gathering of parishioners including teachers and students with their families, from Holy Family School, at the 9am Mass on Sunday 12th February 2023. This event was organised jointly with Holy Family Primary School to welcome students back to school and especially the new Kindergarten children and their parents to the Parish.
The Mass was enhanced by the music and singing from our Parish choir. As part of Father Henry’s homily, he invited all the children to come forward and sit with him on the steps of the Sanctuary and, in a beautiful way, he spoke to them about the Gospel of the day from Matthew 5:17-37, which reminded us about God’s commandments and how we should behave in our lives and think about what is in our hearts whether good or evil. The children responded well to the questions Father Henry asked them.

Then at the conclusion of Mass the students, assisted by their teachers, came forward and sang a song called ‘May God be in my Heart by Andrew Chinn, while doing the sign of the cross. After Mass morning tea was provided any many stayed on to enjoy a social get together.
